A Scarey Night In Tipsy’s
Sunday, November 2nd, 2008 | Special Nights | 1 Comment
A great night was had by all on Halloween at Tipsy’s terrace, when 70+ folk turned up to a night of witches and vampires.
Sally and Sarah put on a great “creepy menu” and the guests were also entertained by two great magicians.
Above - Death By Chocolate - complete with tomb stone.
In fact the night was so popular, they had to do it all again last night.

Fiona’s Farewell Tourny
Wednesday, October 29th, 2008 | General | No Comments
Fiona has been a big part of the Los Gigantes tennis scene over the period that she has been here, working for Banco Santander.
But now her contract is up and she has made the decision to return to the Uk.
So last week a tennis tournament was held for her, and a total of 24 players and 30 others turned up to give her a farewell hopefully she will not forget.
After the event, which Fiona manged to win, a buffet was put on by the Tipsy Terrace team, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
We look forward to seeing her out here again for the odd holiday.

TennisZoo Tennis Holidays
Monday, September 1st, 2008 | Tennis | No Comments
As from the 1st September, coach John Debnam will be advertising in TennisLife Magazine in the UK promoting tennis holidays here in Los Gigantes.
“Now the club is looking really smart I feel I can for the first time offer something for those folk back in the UK wanting to link a holiday with learning tennis”
“Of course just wanting to come and enjoy the Island and play some social tennis is also available, it does not have to be coaching”
With the newly built bar and restaurant area and the gardens looking good, the club has improved its image.
The tennis holidays will be run on a one week basis, with two hours a day coaching and an extra four hours during the week for play.
“This has never been organised before and I am hoping that between now and the end of the year I get a few bookings. Tennis holidays here will always be a little bit difficult to organise because of the cost of the flights - we shall have to see”
Full details of the holidays can be found on the tenniszoo web site.
Eat, drink, be merry, and help the dogs

There’s not just a smiling face awaiting you at Tipsy Terrace, they also have kind hearts and like to help out good causes. Make a date in your diary for Saturday September 13, that’s the night they will be holding a fund raising evening for the Dingo Dogs charity.
Dingo Dogs helps to rescue and find homes for abandoned and stray dogs on the island, but they need your help to make those tails wag. The fun starts at 8pm and there will be music and good food, as always. You could be a big winner on the raffle, and all for just one euro per ticket. First prize is horse riding for two, second is a Discover scuba dive, and third, 2 hours rebirthing.
This is a night not to miss, and the perfect excuse, as if you needed one, to sample the hospitality and good food of Tipsy Terrace.

Hungry? Your table awaits

Tipsy Terrace is the place to eat, at any time of the day, from the 8.30 am opening, breakfast can ease you into another sunny day in Los Gigantes. There is a full daytime menu of the best meats, chicken and fish, all served with salad or vegetables for company, or if you prefer, a light snack just to keep you going. From 7pm, the menu changes to full evening meals, good home cooked favourites served with style.
Theme nights will become a regular feature, so look out on the specials board for what’s coming next, but for example, Friday night is fish and chips night and Sunday sees another old favourite, a roast dinner with all the trimmings. The extensive garden area also gives us the chance to do barbecue specials, the pool and the cliffs make a great backdrop.
We hope to anticipate your changing moods, and with a choice of a formal indoor restaurant, the covered patio or the open terrace, we can be as versatile as our menu. Why not test us out, maybe a birthday meal, a romantic evening for 2, an anniversary or a business meeting - go on surprise us. The children are always welcome, but don’t worry the yummy puddings and ice creams aren’t exclusively for them. See you soon.
